Taste of China in Leicester

Fast and Friendly, food is not great but ok

I wasn't sure what to make of this place when I saw it but I was really impressed afterward. Food was great, came quickly and was great value too.

We tryed hongkong rice The chicken ??? Seemed to be some other creature b ware

I could see what they cooking me. Kitchen is inside the eating arrea with glass walls

I was told to pay a different price rather than the one I saw in the menu. That annoyed me. And staff did not apologise for the ‘confusion’(?). Beware of this if you have to go here. Of course I will not return.

The best Chinese food ever !! Massive portions and cheap ! A must for somewhere to eat !!!

First time I went I really enjoyed it... second time it was very rushed they took our plates away before finishing and the food was quite bland..

I walked past this restaurant a few times with my partner and saw there were loads of Chinese people in there so we inevitably thought: "This one must be good". To our surprise it was actually very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I just came home with a tray full of bones and fat worth 10.00 GBP !!! I asked for half of the whole duck. When I opened a box just a minute ago I saw only bones from the back of the duck. No leg, no wing and 1/4 of the breast. When I said half of the duck I obviously did not mean the back half! What is more the bones were all cold, just like I have bought leftovers. Very disappointed, because the duck on display looks good. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to taste it.

Decent food and price. Fairly quick service.

Very authentic experience. Really good Chinese if you are wanting a quick meal that ticks all the boxes.

Good food good value for money

Huge noodle portions, so big you can swim in the bowl. Incredibly fast service. Overall was fun and satisfying.

They have a good set menu which is very good value for money or you can order from the regular menu.

Very Surprised... The food is not bad there... I wouldn't say taste of China, it's more like taste of Hong Kong (which is way better by the way)We ordered half roast duck and a rice noodle dish which were amazing and we order more dishes to go for our friends. (All dishes were good except Congee...)Prices are similar to Shanghai moon but I think both of them worth a visit.

I had the best bubble tea ever here! The servers are really nice, very polite and very helpful! I loved the place. I visited Leicester twice and went to Taste of China three times just because I fell in love with their bubble tea (I recommend the chocolate one). It was the best one I've had so far! 😊

Very underrated Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant in the heart of Leicester. Great for lunch or dinner. The roast meats are great as are rice dishes. Well worth a visit if you haven't before. Not your average Chinese restaurant!

I just ordered chicken in lemon souce it should be chrispy chicken i received something jelly What taste like a vinegar with lemon discusting chicken had bones i can not put even this to my mounth becouse it smells so badly. Definytly i will not come back there!!!!

Very nice food although too salty for my particular taste (I don't have much salt) bubble tea was very nice.

Great service here, portions of food are big and the food was quite delicious. Their milk tea was quite good, although the bubbles were not the best that I've tasted in the UK. They also do delivery services, which could be quite convenient I imagine on days you might not want to leave the house. They also accept cards, which is quite a pleasant surprise as Chinese restaurants usually don't accept cards.

I ordered ‘double roast with rice’Although the chicken is a little bit overcooked, the roast duck is great!The meal includes a little vegetable, a lot of rice and two types of meats.The clerks are very busy(there are only two people to serve customers), so you need to wait for a while to get order.The price is reasonable and it doesn’t charge service fee.

Our second favourite Chinese restaurant in Leicester. Prepare for a very long wait before you're served or even have your order taken.... But the portions are MASSIVE and price is fair. Not the same level quality food as The Peaking, but good enough to make you come back again and again. Wouldn't bother with desserts though.

Very quick service. Food piping hot. Sweet and sour chicken balls were so light and delicious and the chicken satay with the sauce was incredible. We had the two course offer with side included and it was great value for money. Will definitely return.

I love this place. The big sizes of portions are perfect for me. Chicken in Satay Sauce in soup and Won Ton soup are my favourite meals. It's amazing, very warming and tasty. Prices are fair. Customer service is very nice.
